S is for Steampunk @ Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers

I am joining the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers as a Guest Designer for their Steampunk challenge which begins today. The challenge lasts for 2 weeks- I hope you will give it a go-it was quite a challenge for me- my 1st Steampunk card-ever!!!  S0.....as a Guest Designer , I decided to be snarky and use a non- traditional color for a Steampunk themed card- Purple it is : )

The image is colored with Copic markers- it is a digi from Saturated Canary- she is named Mali. I have not seen the movie and decided to not google her- just let my imagination go with the flow.......  I added a touch of purples in the dress & wings....I had a blast with this card. The background eggplant Envy SU cardstock is embossed and Highlighted with SU Eggplant Envy ink. The next layer is Faux Metallic Gelato's from the Technique Junkies new Artistic effects CD.

Here is a close up of the butterfly:
The image is lightly colored with Copics and a touch of Wink of Stella added for shimmer.

Thanks for having me ladies- what an honor!  Please stop at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and see what the Snarky Stampers have created for the Steampunk challenge.

Challenges:
As You Like It-  Favorite die and why- I love the way the coved dies work together- but love the feminine feel to the white one with the image on it : )

ScrapbookerPhD- Add Texture
Southern Girls- Punches and Die Cuts
Sisterhood of Crafters- Monochromatic

You cannot go wrong with the Sisters if you use purple! This is a great steampunk card -- the butterfly is so very cool, and you had gears! Gears, and yet this is your first steampunk card? :P Great to have you joining us for the challenge, Shelly!
