Sweet Stamps- Embossing

The challenge at Sweet Stamps for this week is Embossing.
I had so much fun- The DT all received some of the new Stencils just released from Sweet Stamps- did I say last week how spoiled we are???
HERE is a link to the new line of Stencils for sale at Sweet Stamps- and all are made in the USA : )
I used Distress Inks on the background- drying the paper before each application I added the red last and it does not seem too visible. I placed the stencil over the background and added Tumbled Blue Distress Ink.
I used Globecraft and Piccolo enamel embossing powder on the sentiment strip and on the dragonfly. The fabulous shimmer does not show up well in the picture- it is wonderful IRL. I added Wink of Stella to the top of her shirt and to the flower in her hair for a touch more sparkle.

Products I used from the Sweet Stamps Store:

We have a weekly challenge and a monthly technique challenge. The monthly challenge 8/15-9/14 is Double Side Step Card. Our winners are chosen by Random.org- and if you use a Sweet Stamps image, your entry will count x's 2!

She's lovely Shelly - love the background , it is really subtle, but intricate, and the purple you have used for the dress and tag is the perfect foil to it.

Love the purple, naturally, but your stitching is marvelous, Shelly! What a lovely background, too. Will have to try the stenciling.

What a fabulous card you've created here! I love how it is both fun and elegant at the same time. I can totally see how it fits into our "bold" theme because both the image and the colors stand out so beautifully. I also really like the lovely background and how its pattern looks with the central image. You did a wonderful job and I'm so glad you shared your talents with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!

A really cute card and guess what, you were randomly chosen as winner at The Cheerful Stamp Pad.
I probably won't get a chance to put you in my winner spot until tomorrow though. Busy night!
